A Letter from the Editor

25 December 2008

Bonjour!
As the snow comes to cover the ground in (northern) North America, it brings with it all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Traffic congestion, and parties galore seem to stress us beyond compare. Word! your friendly and compassionate online magazine, has decided to give you a present, whether or not you celebrate any of the holidays that pop around the month of December. So put up your feet, grab a cup of cocoa, and laugh along with our humor articles, or relax with our many pieces of art. If those aren’t your thing, have no fear Shakespeare! We’ve got political pieces that might get a stir out of you, and if that won’t our philosophy article will definitely pull at your cranium strings. And the variety does not end there! Why not take a gander at our heart-warming poems or articles about the holidays or the winter season. So sit back, relax, and breathe in some good reading. It just may be good for you.

We’d like to thank our contributors for their wonderful work and for taking some of their own spare time to write for us. Don’t forget to show appreciation for their effort by commenting on their articles and giving them feedback. And if you’d like to keep updated with what’s new to Word!, subscribe to our mailing list. Just email word.webzine@gmail.com

Lastly, we wish you all the happiness in the world as you endure the highs and the lows of winter vacation. May your tummies always be full, and your faces always lit with joy (unless of course you have a beauty mask on, or that would hurt). So happy Hanukkah, merry Christmas, happy Kwanzaa and any holiday you celebrate!

And we’ll see you in the new year!
