Issue 3: October 2008
Word! is an arts-oriented online magazine written by and for teens. Smart, fun and rather quirky, we aim to entertain our readers, provide a niche for young writers and who knows, maybe even provoke a little thought.
Happy reading and thanks to everyone who made our third issue possible!

A Note from the Editor
They say that when you start a publication, the hardest thing isn’t the getting going, it’s the keeping going. Word!’s editorial staff felt the truth of this for the first time. However, five days later than we usually launch an issue, here’s # 3! We have tons of great stuff between our virtual covers, including opinion articles on celibacy, feminism and lowering the drinking age, laugh-out-loud humor articles and an interview with New York indie-pop-rock band The Narrative, featured on our cover.
I have just one more thing to announce before I step out of the way and let you peruse this issue in peace. Our November issue will be our first themed one, focusing solely on poetry, SHORT fiction, photography and artwork. We’re excited..and you should be too. If you want to submit something, click here.
Anything else? If you live in the US and are 18 or older, don’t forget to go out and vote on November 4th…or apparently, P. Diddy will kill you. Also, Happy Columbus Day, International Day of Non-Violence, Apple Day , United Nations day and Halloween to you fine folks. Tell us what you think of this issue; after all, it’s you we’re writing for.
Ciao and happy reading
